How to Make Soy Candles and Tea lights

Valentine’s Day is coming up. My post is to share a few ideas which will hopefully help you to make the highest quality scented soy candles using essential oils for those romantic candles you want to have made before the night of romance for lovers.

High quality scents may appear to raise the cost of making strongly scented soy candles, but soy candle wax will only hold a certain amount of fragrance before bleeding.

Essential oils have stronger scents so they contribute to a better overall quality scent throw.

Initially the more expensive essential oil will raise the cost of candle making, unless you are will to buy in larger bulk quantities to get the price per once charged by dealers down. Shop around, and check not only the cost per ounce, but the % of essential oil in each bottle. Some people are buying product, and cutting the essential oil by dilution for quick resale, and you could be seriously disappointed. My recommendation is to buy from a trusted supplier. Also some of the imported essential oils from India will surprise you with their strength, and purity.

Don’t forget. Scent throw can be affected by over using, or under using scents because they will only hold a certain amount of the fragrance, without additives, or clogging the candle wick.

A benefit of using an essential oil over a fragrance is that they are purer, and stronger. Because essential oils are made from all natural ingredients, just like soy wax, you will be keeping your soy candle wax as pristine as possible.

Remember the expression, if you don’t use it, you loose it? Don’t save your newly made highly scented soy candles for a special time. Enjoy burning your soy candles now, before the scent fades away over time. Light up your candles and enjoy them while they are fresh, and at their peak of perfection!
