Make A Scented Soy Candle Centerpiece for Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day! A day for romance, a day for lovers! Plan out a nice romantic day and evening in advance, and center everything around using your hand poured, scented soy candles.
Wrap a present to put on the table for him to open with bright white wrapping paper. Brighten the present by tying a big red satin bow around the box, If you are so romantically inclined, and want to add just the perfect personal touch, paint your lips with red lipstick, and leave kisses on the box, and on the card you plan to give him.
Cover the table with a white cloth, then lay a piece of red netting over the white fabric to draw the colors together.
Buy a heart shaped wreath. Depending upon your time, it can be premade and covered with artifical roses. Or bought freshly made from your local florist. If you have your own roses, you can attach roses and rose petals onto the heart shape with the aid of a hot glue gun. If you are able to use real roses, you will want to wait until the last moment possible, then keep it in a cool location until you want to use it, to keep the roses as fresh as possible. (Clean the rose petal leaves with milk dipped in a clean cloth to give the leaves a bright shine afte they dry.)
Set a white scented soy pillar candle inside the heart as an accent. Sprinkle rose petals all over the entire table, dresser tops, jacuzzi top. I really like white bedroom sheets, even the white bed looks inviting when covered in rose petals.
If you don’t have access to real rose petals, look at hobby or craft stores for fake rose petals, but hurry before they are all gone. Personally, I adore the highly scented fragrance of a rose I grow called Don Juan. Don Juan’s rose petals are a dark red velvet color in appearance, highly fragrant. He blooms all at once in the spring. When this happens I have had over 200 blossoms at one time. (Another picture.) When that happens, having real rose petals to spread everywhere are no problem for me. If not, you can either buy real roses, and pluck petals off to drop around on things, or use some rose perfume to spice up the artificial petals.
To make this specific sensual soy pillar candle, I used a sensual amber fragrance called Sensual Amber BBW Type candle scent. Sensual Amber is a very rich vanilla blend with delicious spices, pure velvet floral essence, and the deep rich, sensuality of patchouli. Mixing this candle fragrance when your are pouring your own candles will reward you twice. Once when you are mixing the scent into the candle wax during the candle making process, and the second time, when you light and burn your candles. Be sure to make lots of candles, so as dusk arrives, you can light a profussion of scented soy candle pillars. It is really sexy to have a large profussion of highly fragrant candles lit in all shapes and sizes lit around a darkening room. Little tea lights in glass holders work well on dressers, so do votive candles.
Just be sure to follow all candle safety quidelines. Do not to place candles near or on anything that could catch fire.
